Microbiology major

Our department offers the only B.S. in Microbiology available in the state of Oregon! Through coursework and laboratory training, you can study beneficial and disease-causing bacteria, archaea, viruses and parasites, and learn about microbiology applications in the areas of environment, medicine, healthcare, agriculture and animal health.

Biohealth sciences major

Enrolling more than 700 students, the BHS major is designed to provide an interdisciplinary background in the life sciences, public health, and social sciences. This diverse background results in a unique blend of coursework formulated to meet the needs of students interested in a career in the healthcare field.
