Hayden Krause and Nilanjana Das were awarded the MS and PhD Best Student Presentation Awards respectively. They received the awards at the Western Fish Disease Workshop and Fish Health Section Annual Meeting held by the American Fisheries Society. The meeting was held in Boise, Idaho July 30-Aug 1.

The recipients of the two awards are chosen yearly by a panel of FHS members, judged based on the criteria of presentation skills, scientific merit, and more.

Hayden won the Best Masters Student Presentation Award for his work titled "Pathogen risk to juvenile spring-run Chinook salmon in the upper Klamath basin, to inform re-establishment efforts". Nilanjana tied for the Best PhD Student Presentation Award with her work, "The emergence of Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae in an Oregon salmonid hatchery".

Both grads also received the Snieszko Student Travel Award to the amount of $1000 each, which supported their attendance to the FHS Annual Meeting.

Congratulations to Nilanjana and Hayden!
