Research

My research focuses on volatile organic compound profiling and production of marine cyanobacteria Prochlorococcus and Synechococcus. Specifically, I am utilizing various processes and techniques such as carbon fixation with radioisotopes and proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) to monitor the role of VOCs in cyanobacteria. My current interests trend more towards the biomedical field in molecular diagnostics and medical laboratory science.
