Laboratory Safety Training and Hazardous Communication: SDS and GHS( Global Harmonizing System) are required viewings for all personnel that work in laboratory settings to comply with new OSHA regulations. New for 2014: All new laboratory personnel will need to complete these two trainings before they will be given afterhours access to Nash. Current laboratory personnel will also need to view these videos and have until the spring Fire and Life Safety inspection to comply. The direct links to these videos are listed below.

BUILDING EVACUATION CHECKLIST
1. Leave building immediately when alarm sounds
2. Call 911 on your cell when you are outside to report alarm
3. Do not re-enter buidling until fire or police personnel give permission to do so.
4. If the building is being evacuated, the evacuation will be signaled by a fire alarm.
5. All personnel should be at least 300 feet from the building.
6. Exits are marked in all buildings.
7. NEVER USE AN ELEVATOR TO EXIT A BUILDING
CLASSROOM/LAB INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Select someone to lead the class safely out of the building
Assign two individuals for any student with disabilities to assist with their safe evacuation from the building
Check any adjoining areas, such as restroom or vacant rooms and be sur that everye is notifed to leave
The instructor, student(s) with disabilites, and students assisting these persons should be the last inviduals evacuated.
Enforce 300 feet boundary
Cehck to see that no one is msising. If someone is unaccounted for, notify authorities immediately.
INDIVUDALS WITH DISABILITIES
Students, staff, and visitors who are blind should be assisted through hallways and stairways along designated evaucation rotues.
Wheelchair bound persons should follow designated evacuation routes on the ground floor and exit the building. If not on the ground floow, wheel to the nearest fire escape or stairway door. Rescue personnel will search these areas first.
