Languages of Nature’ art exhibit to be featured at OSU’s Little Gallery

April 26, 2018

CORVALLIS, Ore. – “Languages of Nature,” an exhibit of images featuring the beauty of nature, will be on display in the Little Gallery at Oregon State University May 1 through June 14.

The exhibit features the contrasting work of Portland artist Renée Zangara and David Maddison, a professor in the integrative biology department at Oregon State University.

Zangara uses color, shape and form to create almost abstract work to represent her feelings and observations. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is in many collections including the Portland Art Museum. Maddison, who teaches biological illustration among other courses, creates images that are photo-like and capture intricate details.

A reception to celebrate the exhibit’s opening will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 3 at the gallery in 210 Kidder Hall, 2000 S.W. Campus Way, Corvallis.

The Little Gallery is open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
